Vertical ANIMALS: Two Buffalo The two animals are vertical on the page and fill the space. Humps on both animals are clearly defined and shaded; both have large curved horns; both have arched tails with tassels at the ends; both have shaggy fur drawn in lines at the top of the head, under the chin, along the front, and behind front legs. Their hooves are split. Their profiled heads have one unfilled circle for each eye. The larger buffalo at the bottom is probably male, as males are up to twice as large as females. His hind legs are off the page, and he rises diagonally. The smaller buffalo stands erect but not rising off a lateral line.
