BIRDS: Two Dark Turkeys

Ethnographic Notes

Horizontal, with the tailfeather of the top bird partially drawn on Plate 34 BIRDS: Two Dark Turkeys. The turkeys fill the page, one larger and one smaller and above to the left�farther away and/or a female. The right-hand turkey is a male with distinct wattle. The barred wings are indicated, as well as wedge of tailfeathers. Both birds have long, narrow, straight beaks pointed downward. The smaller bird is identical except it lacks legs and wattle. See discussion, Plate 33.
