Vertical COURTING: Man in Red Blanket Stands Parallel to Woman in Blue Blanket. The man wears long braids with otter fur wraps. His long German silver hairplate ornament reaches almost to the ground. His hairplate breastplate has a blue pendant attached at the bottom center. His blanket is entirely red, except for the undyed selvedge along the bottom and back (variation of a skunk blanket; see Plate 9 for discussion). The blanket overlaps the woman (her outline is behind his). He wears the same dark trade cloth leggings and breechclout, with flaps extending below his feet in the drawing.
The woman wears one long braid over her shoulder. Her blanket is solid blue. Leggings show below the blanket, uncolored. Three stripes are on each ankle. In the upper right-hand corner of the page are several glyphs of heads. One is complete, facing left. One faces right, with another incomplete face outline beside it.
