Can anyone offer any comment on the content depicted please? Are these images of Kiowa shields? What is the significance of the green 'bushes'?

the figures look almost Egyptian in appearance and yet the proportions of the figures are representational yet horses head is way too small.

Hi Mike, Yes they are Kiowa shields and variants. The 'green bushes' are the tops of small trees with which to hang a warriors possessions, that's all. I'm going to ask my Kiowa pals about the cluster of black berries often seen in this strikingly stylish set of drawings.
