Collected by Bishop Henry Whipple, Espicopal leader in Minnesota.
The sketchbook of drawings was given to Bishop Whipple, probably in 1876 by Richard H. Pratt, the officer charge of the Plains Native people incarcerated in Fort Marion, St. Augustine, Florida from 1875 ti 1878.
The drawings were held in the collection of St. Mary's Hall, a school founded by Bishop Whipple.
From there it was transferred to the Rice County Historical Society, Faribault, MN, donated in 1942 by Bishop Whipple's niece, Susie Salisbury.
