Sweetwater Ledger Book Provenance
The Sweetwater ledger book is part of the Charles R. Howell Collection. Howell lived near the Rosebud Reservation for a number of years before moving to the upper Green River area. The drawings are part of a large collection of Sioux items Howell first donated to the City of Green River. In 1967, the museum acquired the collection from the city.
